About the Author:
Joley Wood is a graduate with a degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he read a lot and did theses on comics and Irish literature. He has written on numerous Irish writers, including essays on James Joyce, George Bernard Shaw and William Butler Yeats, and a preface for Shaw's Saint Joan. He has since finished graduate work at Trinity College — Dublin (M.Phil, Anglo-Irish Literature), and is now completing his PhD in English at the University of Virginia.
